Zilab Server Overview
Zilab Remote Console Server is a highly developed remote access server
for Windows XP/2000/NT with an advanced set of features. With Zilab server,
you can remotely execute any console-based applications, including legacy
DOS applications with speed and control of the locally running applications.
All kinds of the keyboard and mouse input are supported.
Multi-user Server
Zilab server fully supports multiple concurrent connections simultaneously
in a multi-user environment. All users work in their own contexts. After
the start, every session on the remote host receives its own clipboard
and the entire required environment, including the users' security permissions
and privileges, registry keys and the environment variables.
Full Remote Console Control
Zilab server handles all behavior specific to console applications, such
as the: colors, special keys, dynamic console size tracking, and even
the mouse movements, without any special configuration efforts.
Advanced Remote Computing
The server and client software, included into the distribution set, is
especially tuned for receiving a fast response. Remote users work without
any appreciable delay. In order to support the long-term server-side operations
and cover the unreliable communications, Zilab server has a unique process
rebinding functionality. A user may assign the maximum lifetime for a
remote session, in which this session will be active and available for
reconnection after a user - initiated disconnection or a network fail.
That allows connecting to remote processes, earlier started on the host,
using Zilab Remote Console Server. Each server user may have several pending
(awaiting for the reconnection) sessions.
